- ATMOSPHERE LYRICS - LUMINATE
Something's changing in the atmosphere
I can feel it, you are near
I feel weightless in this place
I am lost in your embrace
Something's changing in the atmosphere
You're near, You're near
You've opened up my eyes to your glory, Lord
I've tasted and I've seen and I want more
I stand here amazed, I'm falling on your grace
I've tasted and I've seen and I (now) want more
Something's changing in this heart of mine
Chains are breaking as you redesign
I am yours, I'm in your hands
I give you my life and I take your plans
Something's changing in the atmosphere
You're near, You're near
Cause I need more
I need your love
Something's changing in my atmosphere
You're here, You're here

I've been listening to this song over, and over again, lately...
And I feel the lyrics: "Open up my eyes to Your Glory Lord,
I've tasted and I've seen, but I want more"...
PURPOSE PROPOSING Suppose we never asked the questions, or looked beyond our introspection? to find that life revolves around more, a life of Purpose and living The Call...

Just wanted to share a pic of the album of the Band Luminate's New, First full length, Cd! I'm looking forward to it. The songs are filled with rich lyrics, with the message of the Love of Christ and the Change it brings.
Check it out: when it comes out in stores January 25th :)
Running on Broken Glass
My advice:
Don't fall into getting so excited about something without taking time to look around...It can be deadly.
It's like running through broken glass just because you see a swminning pool over/past it... and you excitedly run through the glass, never looking down, cause you're determinedly headed to "that swimming pool". Then, your name is called and you stop running - look down - and find that a big jagged peice of glass stuck in your foot. Yeah, you being to cry, cause obviously it does hurt.
It's stupid to run over broken glass just to get to "take a dive". Most likely its not a service to Christ, because if you are aware of the glass and run anyway, then it's probably selfishness; because if it was all Christ Cenetered, and according to "His Will", wouldn't you just take His route down by the river?
Sometimes affliction is caused by our own selfsih choices. We harm ourselves, and then say it was God who was doing the chastening. We are not faultless, we let emotions lead us, even if they weren't meant wrongly, they can lead us to our own end if we do not maintain control.
Cause once again, a quick run over broken glass, in the night no less, can cause you to wake up with a big peice of that glass stuck in your foot. Life's not easy. Some things arn't fair. Remember 'mere swimming' isn't a wrong desire, it's just sometimes, certain pools arn't made for us. And God knows that. You mess up and then God takes your hand and says "Hey you're gonna get hurt that way...come with me". And it seems all exciting at first, till He pulls the glass out of your foot and you know the wound was of your own making.
We all are in need of salvation, redemption, and refocus right?
So even we have to be willing to forgive 'our own' mistakes...and ask to be led into an even deeper walk with God. If you've never been good at beginnings, and you like deep groves to follow in...remember that deep groves go before you, dug by the cross, Christ's foot prints, and so let the Sprit guide you.
"Forgive us Lord of anything we've done wrong, for being led by false emotion, wrong example, or denying our faults in anyway...Here we lay ourselves before You...

Looking through the Mirror
Do you ever find yourself just feeling like you are looking at a mirror, and all you can feel and see is your own reflection?
But what if we could see beyond the mirror framing ourselves? What would we find?
Would we find reality or fantasy? How do we get rid of the constant reflection of ourselves? and how do we replace it with the reflection of Christ?
If our lives are centered around Him, how do we clense ourselves of constant self awarness...
I think of Tenth Avenue North's Lyrics at this moment:
From their song: YOU ARE Chorus Lyrics:
I give You all of me for all You are
Here I am
Take me apart
Take me apart....
All I am I want to lay down at Your feet
...and then I hear the lyrics from Jars of Clay's song "I need You"..the chorus rings clear "I need You, I need You, I need You, You're all I'm living for...
I've heard some people quote that they have too much of the world in them to enjoy Christ.. .And I know that for many, this is true. But I think for even those of us who live distanced from the world and its offers, we are hindred by the thoughts of ourselves, or the mirror that we are looking through. You see the world, people, sin, the fall, - it takes it toll on everyone. And there are times for all of us, when whatever is reflecting off our mirror has caused us to not see the big picture, or not to feel fresh inside...at these times we must ask to be renewed.
Don't let people, places, things, situations, take your Joy or your focus from your relationship with Christ ...Whatever it is, whether relationships, influences, things, habbits, if they cause you to see a bigger reflection of yourself, I will warn you, you should reconsider whatever it is...And when you are hit with an answer, act. Don't let it go, act. Cause it will only get worse. Till perhaps all there is left, is the imagine of self, and you find yourself tied down into a secular/humanistic: worldview...it can happen...without you even realizing it...You see we are supposed to be lights in the world, our oil is of God, to keep us burning bright...but if we continue to let people or things, blow at our flame, and do not ever refill our oil, what will come of us? Darkness can never put out the Light of Christ. But if we quit baring our lamps for Christ, we can lose ourselves in the night. What shall lead us in the end times? Those will have to be retaught, those will have to go and find the light, and healthy worldview that they have lost, but beware there is a time when the clock strikes midnight, the door closes, and the wedding feast officaly begins...
Blessed is the man, the man who does not walk
In the counsel of the ungodly: blessed is that man.
He who rejects the way, rejects the way of sin
And who turns away from scoffing: blessed is that man.
But his delight, by day and night,
Is the law of God Almighty. ( now in Christ)
He is like a tree, a tree that flourishes,
Being planted by the water: blessed is that man.
He will bring forth fruit, his leaf will wither not,
For in all he does he prospers: blessed is the man.
For his delight by day and night,
Is the law of God Almighty. ( now in Christ)
The ungodly are not so, for they are like the chaff
Which the wind blows clean away: he ungodly are not so.
The ungodly will not stand, upon the judgment day
Nor belong to God's own people: The ungodly will not stand.
But God knows the way of righteous men
And ungodly ways will perish.
Pslam 1: 1-6
Fellow Believers look to Christ...and let us replace our mirrors, with the cross of Christ. So that whenever we look we are reminded, we are not our own...and Christ has saved us from being slaves to ourselves...There is joy for the person who dwells upon Him.

No One's Got it all Together
No one's got it all together lyrics: Jill Philips
Working hard to tie up the loose ends
So hard to decide who you let in
Put your best foot forward with a grin
I can see the fear behind your eyes
Wondering if someone will recognize
You’ve grown tired of keeping up the lies
Don’t whitewash the truth about yourself ‘cause
Nobody’s got it all together
If you want to be like everyone else well
Nobody’s got it all together
I have seen the darkness of my heart
And found a love that taught me its too hard
To walk through life and not let down my guard
What good is it to say please savior come
If there is nothing you need rescue from
Life is something no one has a corner on
Don’t whitewash the truth about yourself ‘cause
Nobody’s got it all together
If you want to be like everyone else well
Nobody’s got it all together
When the parts that are self righteous
Start to disappear
Every other life is
Just another mirror
And life is way too short to run and hide
Don’t whitewash the truth about yourself ‘cause
Nobody’s got it all together
If you want to be like everyone else well
Nobody’s got it all together
Working hard to tie up the loose ends
So hard to decide who you let in
Put your best foot forward with a grin
I can see the fear behind your eyes
Wondering if someone will recognize
You’ve grown tired of keeping up the lies
Don’t whitewash the truth about yourself ‘cause
Nobody’s got it all together
If you want to be like everyone else well
Nobody’s got it all together

Trying to be a Better You
O.k so here you are...trying to be a better you.
Whether you are fighting a battle, learning to surrender,
fighting lies that say you must be someone different to be
popular, making new resolutions, starting a new outlook or turning a new page in life...Whatever it may be, this is a time of change.
Is it really possible to be a better you? or for me to be
a better me?
You know I've been reading, and this concept keeps popping up
on the pages: and that is this "I've been crucified with Christ".
This statement is a serious statement.
Yes I've been crucified with Christ on the cross, so therefore
that flesh of mine, it's been killed. So since I have been crucified
with Christ to the cross...does that make me dead to life?
Nope, life comes through Christ. Christ was raised from the tomb,
therefore I am a new creature in Christ, and now raised to new life in Him. I'd say this contradicts the idea of "making myself a better me".
Can't be done. It's done by Him. What am I called to do? To obey Him, to Trust Him, to receive His Love and in turn be changed by it.
What about those times that the flesh risies though? Hasn't it been killed by Christ on the cross? Well, to be honest we have a daily choice... the old man is dead to us as long as we remain dead to it, we tend to resurect him...why? well it's a lack of faith that brings it back.. one's faith in "true" love, a person's faith in God.
So what will give us the strength to keep our eyes fixed on Christ and our love sure?
Be not dismayed Christ has made the sacrifice for You. By His Spirit you can walk uprightly, and blameless before Him. Be not weary in your well doing either...for in good time you shall reap your reward. Keep the Faith and Hide in Christ. It's a supernatural thing to change. Only by His power can you prevail. So stop slapping at your face and think you will be any better of a you, by masking who you are inside. Masking doesn't change you, it only hides the true you from others. But Surrender, now that will change you. Christ is Life ~ Let His Light, meet your darkness, and watch the healing begin.
Sometimes we can feel the wight of our mistakes, but still want to be a good example to others; just remember whenever you feel downhearted or doubtful that you can stand in the new Life Christ gives, Remember that healing comes from God, and bitterness is not the same bravery. Surrendering, is a sign of true bravery... and Healing, well, it can be a process.
Trying at being a better You? Don't be doing it alone, all the walls you put up, all the poking at yourself, and the masks you put on, can get in the way of letting God heal you. Trust God, and walk after Him. Walk in the power he gives to live a holy life, while believing in the love he gives, in order to have a more satisfied life.
Remember it's His Love, and His Spirit...that is what changes you.
What can you do?
Let it change you. Obey Him, listen and heed to His Spirit within you.
I also encourage you, if you are letting Him do this in you, and are heeding and learning to listen to His Voice in your life, "Be Strong, you are on the road to being not only a "changed" you...One day, by the beauty in God, and trusting his will, and his ways, you will have been made more like Him. You see we tend to become more like whatever we love.
Let God influence You, He's one influence that you can be sure is good, not only "good", but "The greatest"!
Lyrics to song DISAPPEAR:
On a day like this I want to crawl beneath a rock
A million miles from the world, the noise, the commotion
That never seems to stop
And on a day like this I want to run away from the routine
Run away from the daily grind that can suck the life
Right out of me
I only know of one place I can run to
Chorus:
I want to hide in You
The Way, the Life, the Truth
So I can disappear
And love is all there is to see
Coming out of me
And You become clear
As I disappear
I don't want to care about earthly things
Be caught up in all the lies that trick my eyes
They say it's all about me
I'm so tired of it being about me¦
I would rather be cast away
Separated from the human race
If I don't bring You glory
If I don't bring You glory
If I don't bring You glory
